In case anyone has noticed, I didn't post yesterday and I probably won't post today either for the 50 day project. I'll catch up tomorrow from where I left off! Yesterday was spent with my family eating lots of food and playing games :) Today will be spent in the same fashion! So, Happy Holidays everyone, I hope that Santa/Baby Jesus was good to you and that if you're spending time with your family it's good time!
Love,

Oh, sweet youth.
That's not to say I'm not still young! But when I was younger I was super cute! Today's prompt is to post a picture of me from at least 10 years ago. I'll do you one better, I'll share TWO adorable pictures :)
this is from when I was...10 or 11? So roughly 11 or 12 years ago! I'm the one on the right in the striped short sleeve turtle neck knit shirt. I loved that shirt. dina's the one on the left, obviously with her fabulous velour flower shirt (i had one too). Gotta love late 90s fashion! Aaand that stunner in the middle is our dog Jagger. He was the shit. Not a fan of pictures, apparently.
And this christmas gem is from when i was a wee little young thing. Maybe 4-6? I have no idea. But look at the hair on Lara! That kid has more hair than I do! What's worse, I have no idea if I'm the one at the top or the one next to Lara. I think I'm the one on the top. Pretty sure. But yeah, aren't we just too cute?
Tomorrow's post will be a letter to my crush. Get ready for that hilarity!

The subject of this will post will be epic
So it's Day 3 of the 50 day project! Today, I'm supposed to talk about my favorite movie. That is incredibly difficult, since I really like a lot of movies. If there was some kind of genre provided to narrow things down, that would be nice. But really, there's only one movie that I can think of that touches me every time I watch it.
That movie is The Fountain. The beauty of The Fountain is that it takes place in three different time periods. The first is during the early 18th century (I'm guessing. It might actually be the 17th century) when Spain was colonizing South America. Hugh Jackman plays Tomas, who is a conquistador. Rachel Weiss is Isabel, the Queen of Spain. [yeah, i had to IMDB the names] There's some sexy love relationship stuff going on there. Also, there's a crazy Inquisitor who wants to kill the Queen because she's a heathen. I don't know enough about Spanish history to have a clue if this was true. But anyway, Tomas is sent on a quest for the Fountain of Youth. The next time period is the present, in which Hugh/Tommy is a biologist who's working to find a cure for cancer and his wife is Rachel/Izzy who has cancer. SADNESS ENSUES. The third time period is in this weird afterlife type situation in which Hugh/Tommy is trying to reach Nirvana with the Tree of Life (who is actually Isabel/Izzy). Since I buy into the whole reincarnation circle of life deal, this movie appeals to me on several levels. I cried for the last half of the movie, and every time I watch it I cry. The characters are well developed and their relationships are realistic and convincing. I was heartbroken when Hugh Jackman's present time character was heartbroken. This is probably the only movie I've cried so hard over. Seriously. Not only is the story beautiful because it's about soul mates and true love, but the imagery of Hugh's character finding his way to Nirvana is breathtaking. Seriously guys, if you haven't seen this movie you need to.
Gorgeousssss.

I like lists
Day two's task is for me to make a bulleted list of everything that I did today. I think this is an incredibly boring assignment, but will go ahead and do it so maybe tomorrow's will be fun.
<3 Til tomorrow,
MeggyB
- Woke up at 10:45 after dreaming about being asked to drive to my sister's boyfriend's house (which in my dream was 4 hours away) to help them change a tire. Apparently I lived in navy housing at the time and liked to play basketball. I was also prone to hysterical crying jags since that's what I did for most of this dream. I also dreamt I was Hermione Granger trying to get with Fred Weasley while Severus Snape looked on and glared. Good times.
- Had some Kashi Heart to Heart cereal and read fanfiction, checked the webcomics I follow, read up on Regretsy.com and then creeped on facebook.
- I did this until 4:30 pm. (no, really)
- I took a 15 minute nap and decided it was time to get ready for Zumba. So i did that.
- I had Zumba from 5:30 until 6:15. I hadn't been in 2 weeks so after the first 15 minutes it was quite painful. But i liked it.
- Got home, showered and had dinner.
- Made AWESOME strawberry lemonade tea with the tea set that my loverly Jess got me.
- Watched Repo! The Genetic Opera with Dina. I originally planned on playing Scooby-Doo Creepy Capers on N64 but decided that Repo! was way cooler.
- And now I'm here. Back in bed, back on the internets. Overall I'd say it was a relaxing adventure.

Hi
College is over, which means that I need to fill my days with something interesting. Meaningful things would be better, but if I did something meaningful every day I'd probably get pretty tired after a week. When I say meaningful I mean doing things like solving world hunger (tell no one).
Extra bonus cool points if you get the (tell no one) reference.
So here I am, fresh out of UConn, waiting by the mailbox for my diploma and a fellow UConn student is doing this as well. I stole it from her. She also stole it from one of her friends. Gotta love the internet :)
So, for day one of the 50 day project is to introduce yourself.
Hi, my name's Megan. I'm pretty sure if you're reading this you know my name since we know each other some way or another and I gave you the link to this blog. I already mentioned that I graduated college, but if you don't know I got a BA in History. That means I can do any number of things, most of which require graduate school. So i guess that tells you what my plan for the relatively soon future is!
Other exciting things about me are that I have three sisters and a brother (in-law, but i feel like that makes it seem like we don't like each other. which is not true). But anywho, I have Amanda, Dina, Lara, and Michael. They're all super awesome for numerous reasons. I'm sure I'll gush about them more later. I also have a mom and a dad, Shelly and Bill. They're also awesome. I have been gifted by whatever power that controls stuff (or not) with an awesome nuclear family :)
I have fish for pets. Phineas is my goldfish. he started out grey and is now a gold/orange color. I have no idea if that's normal or not. He also has about 7 other names, but Phineas is the only one i remember anymore. Then I have 4 neon tetras (google it) named Mildred, Reginald, Boris and Svetlana. I also have a cori fish named Dr. Horrible (yes, after THE Dr. Horrible) and two shrimp whose names I have forgotten but I think were Gred and Forge.
I like to read, which means that I'm literate. Yay! I'm drawing a blank for what to really talk about. When I introduce myself to someone new we exchange pleasantries, maybe banter about what we do and then the conversation goes from there.
So how about this, if you read this and want to know something about me that you think would come up in conversation, comment with your question and I'll answer!
Yay!
<3 day one down, 49 to go!
